Killing Mister Right

I have, let’s be frank, spent much of my life hoping for Mister Right to come striding through my front door to sweep me off my feet. Don’t get me wrong–just because I’ve hoped for him doesn’t mean I’ve believed he was likely to show up. But that hasn’t stopped me as a gay man from yearning for him. And I’m not the only human with such yearnings. Since the 1980s, in my work as a professional intuitional consultant, queries concerning “soul mates”have appeared again and again.

Many clients are embarrassed to ask about love matters. They usually leave such queries for last, and pose them almost apologetically, even offhandedly, not wishing to appear too needy. “I suppose I may as well ask about my love life,” they say, or, “I guess everybody asks you this, right?” Well, yes. Everybody does. So stop being embarrassed. There are no stupid questions. (Actually, there is one stupid question: “Hey, Rand! Did you know that weight loss will improve your chances of attracting potential partners?” “Really? OMG! That never, ever, ever occurred to me! Thank you!”).

Underlying love questions is usually the hope, if not the belief, that there is somebody out there who is ideally suited to me, somebody I am fated to meet some day when I am truly ready. But what do I mean by “ideally suited”? Always sexually compatible? Always emotionally supportive? Always financially generous? Always intellectually stimulating? Always available for companionship activities? Always spiritually aware?

What I usually mean by “someone ideally suited to me” is “Someone who is wholly delightful to me at all times while being wholly supportive of me even at my worst.”

Now presumably, if such a person were my Mister Right, than I would be his. But can I honestly believe that I am capable of being wholly delightful and supportive to a soul mate at all times—even at my worst? I think not. Why? Because over the years I’ve neglected my own needs repeatedly, at times even going out of my way to hurt myself.

Even more importantly, fantasies of the perfect soul mate can blind me from recognizing the potential real-life partners I may encounter– flawed partners whose wounds, damages, limitations, and difficulties have not erased their genuine goodness, lovingkindness, and strength.

So enough with my addiction to the perfect lover meme. To paraphrase a Buddhist saying: When next you meet Mister Right on the road, kill him.

What I Do and Why

psi-rand_logo

My name is Rand Lee. I live in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Since the mid-1980s I’ve served an international clientele as a professional psychic specializing in the Tarot and trancework.

What drew me to psychic work was the excitement of exploring the unseen world within and around us. And I’ve learned that there is an endless variety of forms that Divine Love and Light take to intrigue, mystify, baffle, challenge, and delight us.

This has given me hope in some of the darkest times of my life, and has empowered me to help hundreds of clients down through the years to find their paths to freedom and happiness.

My aim in every client session is to let Spirit work through me to help answer a client’s specific questions about  past, present, or future concerns in any area of their lives: work, prosperity, life-purpose, love, relationships, wellness, relocation, creative blocks, land and house readings, specific creative projects, and spiritual stuff (spirit guides, one’s beloved dead, other lives, hauntings, one’s psychic abilities). All sessions are confidential—nobody knows who my clients are—and can be done either in person or over the telephone or Skype. I can read for individuals, couples, or groups.

I love introducing people to their divinity, because most people have no idea how beautiful and powerful they really are. I do this via a system of personality exploration inspired by the 22 Major Trumps of the Tarot deck. Each of these archetypal symbol cards represents a distinct face or facet of the Divine, one of which you are exploring in your present cluster of lives.

I use several tools to get info for people: the Tarot, trance, and what I call clairsentient hunch-munching. Tarot cards are symbolic picture cards which stimulate the intuition. Trance is a purposive dissociative state through which a spiritual information source that I call “The Family” conveys information my conscious mind may not be able to access. Clairsentient hunch-munching is my rather silly term for what happens when, during a reading, I am struck by a sudden intuitive insight. When it strikes, I chew it over in my heart and mind until its significance for the client becomes clear.

I charge on a wide sliding scale, anywhere from $2 per minute down to $1 per minute, no minimum length of session required. This means a 30 minute reading (around 3 questions usually) costs between $30 and $60; an hour reading (anywhere from 3-6 questions), between $60 and $120. The client decides what s/he can afford to pay. I take credit card payments via PayPal (Rand B. Lee), checks, money orders, or cash.

What I Do, What I Don’t, and What It Costs

IMG_1710

I picked up my first Tarot deck in 1970, and I’ve been doing psychic readings for people ever since. I use the Tarot and various trance techniques to get practical information for clients in response to specific questions concerning the past, the present, or the future.

I work by appointment face-to-face, over the telephone, via Skype, and via email. I work with individual clients, couples, and groups. I also hold workshops, psychic training classes, and open channeled question and answer groups throughout the year. In addition, I design and create custom Tarot decks and have authored a Tarot-based personality and life-purpose evaluation system called The Tarot of You, which I am preparing for publication in the next year or so.

Topics I explore with clients include life purpose clarification, business, prosperity, investments, house and land, pets, jobs, career, relationships, love, romance, family, wellness, relocation, education choices, spirituality, psychic phenomena, reincarnation, spiritual gifts, and others.

I claim neither spiritual authority nor infallibility. I believe that reason and intuition are partners and both are necessary for balanced decision making. I can make mistakes, I can be wrong, and I can be misled by a cynical client. Furthermore, I assume that any future I may see for a client can be changed depending on client action or inaction. Having said this, I have a track record of success sufficient for many of my clients to have referred me to their friends and coworkers. Referral is how I build my business.

As an openly gay man, I am GLBTQA friendly and welcome inquiries from persons of all backgrounds.

FEES: My standard fee for a session is $125.00 US funds. From first time clients I accept cash, payments via PayPal, and money orders; from established clients, I also accept cheques. Payment is due within one (1) week of services rendered. If you are in economic distress, I can negotiate fees with you, so do not let my standard fee rate keep you from contacting me if you wish a reading. Gift vouchers are also available if you wish to purchase reading time for family or friends.

If you would like to book a reading with me, telephone me at 505-469-9782 or email me at chrononaut61@gmail.com. I look forward to speaking with you.
